Janine Monroe | The Significance of Life’s Breadcrumbs
About Janine
Influenced by the knots of sycamore trees, Janine Monroe’s work features a new and innovative use of up-cycled sawdust that is combined with acrylic polymers and pigments to create hanging sculptures that exhibit real dimension in the work. The work was made to interact directly with the viewer, as like a sculpture. Together, the medium and subject matter forms and informs a dialogue about the importance of preserving all our resources, while continuing to explore questions about resources, women and the value of both.
