Lea Marcotulli | The Biggest, Baddest Black Holes
Black Hole Explorer
When the Universe was young and small, the most massive black holes were being produced. Reaching masses of billions of suns, these monsters could produce extreme jets capable of emitting the most powerful radiation in the Universe. Why do we chase these cosmic monsters, and how did they shape the Universe that we know today is the idea worth spreading.
Lea is a Ph.D. candidate in Astrophysics and is a space scientist, studying the most powerful black holes in the Universe.
ABOUT LEA
Lea is a Ph.D. candidate in Astrophysics and is a space scientist, studying the most powerful black holes in the Universe.
Lea is 26 and comes from Italy. She has been working on her Ph.D. in Astrophysics at Clemson University for the past five years. Her strongest interest is in everything that is highly energetic in the Universe.
Her research is about finding and studying the most powerful black holes in the Universe using NASA satellite data. As an international student, she feels that this community has given her a lot, and she would love to have the chance to reach out and share the wonderful ideas behind her work at Clemson.
