The Curator Reflects
In January 2010 I watched my first TED Talk. It was “Do schools kill creativity” by Sir Ken Robinson, and it absolutely changed my life. Although it is one of the most watched TED talks in the world, as an Educator it gave me the freedom to make significant changes within my classroom.
When I started making these changes my methods weren’t readily received but four years after watching that Talk I stood at a international conference to receive an award for educational excellence.
My point is that one talk challenged my mind and recallibrated my thoughts about my passion and my career. TEDxGreenville provides a local venue for not just one talk, but anywhere from 12 to 16 talks and performances to challenge your mind and instigate innovation and inspiration–and it will be no different this year! The power of TED is awe-inspiring, amazing…and it’s here.
What will be the talk that changes YOUR life?
