A true southern belle, Precious Bivings was raised in both Greer and Atlanta and wears many hats. As a mother, life coach, and entrepreneur, she has both education and experience in almost every facet of life. When you stand in her presence, you can feel the uplifting energy surrounding her. She is a powerhouse speaker with a zest for life and a passion for creating change.
Caroline Caldwell, the TEDxGreenville program team member who guided Precious through the nomination process, explains why the team was drawn to her message. “From the beginning,” Caroline says, “Precious demonstrated a paradigm shift for the masses that is fresh, new, and common all at the same time.”
Curator Lisa Marie Corley agrees. “I don’t want to give away the talk, but she takes a simple, straightforward way of being and gives it a really insightful spin. I don’t think there’ll be anyone in the audience who won’t be moved by her emotional story and step-by-step approach.”
Precious is not an excuse-maker and doesn’t let others make excuses either. She explains, “My expectation is that people are awaked and ignited to live their best lives, that they say no to excuses of why they can’t — and say yes to the reasons they can.”
As Founder and CEO of Brettani’s Heritage, a Life Recovery organization, Precious continues
to focus on her life coaching & empowerment workshops. Her commitment to helping people develop their ideal life, personally and professionally, is her life’s work. Her hope is that the people she works with are awaked daily to aggressively pursue life.
“I was born to inspire!” says Precious.
“I became a TED.com fan when I heard about TEDxGreenville through a friend who attended last year. I wanted to go with her, but the show was completely sold out! So to be speaking on the stage is a big deal. I am so grateful!”
“I thought, ‘Oh my goodness! It’s really happening! I can’t believe it! I couldn’t even sit in the audience last year and now I’m speaking on the stage… AAAHH!’ Even though I was scared to death, I knew I had to do it. There are so many people who are stuck in different areas of life. I had to share my process on how I got unstuck.”
“That no matter what they’ve experienced in life, they are responsible to create the life they want to live.”
