Technological innovations have changed the way we think, we behave, and we interact. What forms of transportation service should we expect in the next decade? People have their own opinions towards autonomous driving. These opinions are based on the previous learnings from the situation where the technology was absent. Therefore, the opinions are more or less biased.
Today we are going to take a second look at the future of urban mobility.
About Jianan
Jianan Sun is a female entrepreneur, big picture engineer, and innovation activist currently serving on the innovation team at Mercedes-Benz USA. With a passion for understanding how disruptive technologies impact consumers' lives, she believes that while technology is the easy part of innovation, understanding people's behaviors is essential for beneficial implementation.
Born and raised in China, Jianan earned her MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Clemson University in 2012. She later completed her Doctoral Degree in Automotive Engineering, specializing in smart urban mobility, in 2017—making her a proud Clemson Tiger through and through. Immediately following her doctoral hooding ceremony, she joined Mercedes-Benz USA's innovation team.
Jianan serves as a board member of the Society of Automotive Engineers' Southeast Chapter and is actively involved in Atlanta's tech and innovation community. She mentors startup companies, collaborates with various local universities, and volunteers with Hands on Atlanta and DeKalb Animal Services in her spare time.
