Lori Rose | Women’s Advocate
Lover of human potential. Recovering fear and anxiety addict. Lori Rose believes in the power of authentic connection to change the world.
Lori’s passion to heal, empower and ignite people’s lives became clear when she nervously stepped onto a TEDx stage in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2012 and realized how truth-telling can transform us. In 2016, she left her 15-year career in Indiana as a non-profit leader forging partnerships that resulted in building over 90 miles of bicycle and pedestrian trails, and moved to Greenville, SC to dedicate herself to her next mission: preventing intimate partner violence and abuse and liberating people through healthy relationships.
During her ten years as Fort Wayne Trails’ Executive Director, Lori co-founded Salsa Loca, a grassroots salsa dance group, and initiated One Billion Rising Fort Wayne, part of a global movement to end violence against women and girls. In line with her efforts to grow confidence, courage and connection skills through movement, she also teaches Zumba and partner dance lessons.
Lori has spoken at universities and stages across the country and has won awards including Indiana’s Sagamore of the Wabash, Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly 40 Under 40, Indiana State Trail Advocacy Award, and the YWCA Hope Award for Domestic Violence Prevention and Intervention.
Lori is passionate about helping people break through fears, find their truth and achieve intimacy. Eager to explore the picturesque South Carolina landscape and her new city, Lori strives to celebrate people and nature, and have a good laugh at least daily.
