I presented at TEDxGreenville 2012, speaking about my debut feature length film Pre-Do: Foresight in 20/20. The day’s theme was ‘breakthrough’ and, appropriately, my talk recounted the lessons I had learned from interviewing senior citizens about their regrets for the film, and my commitment to avoid regret and fulfill my aspirations in my own life. Since then, I have sought a journey that would make my words reality.
Shortly after my talk, I withdrew from Clemson University and initiated relocation to Savannah, Georgia. I enrolled as a full time film and television major at The Savannah College of Art and Design, where I continue to study today. Along with my studies, I also transposed much of my business, Caleb Suttles Video Production, to Savannah. In addition to creating commercial films for businesses and individuals throughout South Carolina and Georgia, I routinely create television commercials and other content for The City of Savannah. Beyond my freelance projects, I work full time at a large automotive group of 9 dealerships based in Savannah, as the company’s video media specialist overseeing production of select television commercials and other film and photographic promotional material.
My passion for documentary filmmaking and storytelling also continues to thrive. As an art student I discovered an outlet for fusing my fascination with fashion and film, collaborating with fashion students in creating films. This has unleashed my creativity in new ways, and has influenced several forthcoming projects. I have also perpetuated the message of Pre-Do, recently launching Pre-Do: On Air. As a documentarian, I have been deeply inspired by radio in recent months and wanted to push the boundaries of my creativity in reformatting the concept of the documentary into short sharable stories. These weekly episodes are released online at PreDoOnAir.com and feature individuals revisiting their past and sharing the wisdom they’ve gathered through life experiences. Already, these stories have included a bubbly house fire survivor, a motivational-speaking divorced dad, and an ADHD suffering poet.
